History and Today

History

Kovoprojekta Brno was established in 1950 as a design company focused on design activities in spheres of mechanical engineering and metallurgy. In 1992 it became a shareholding company. In the middle of the nineties the company specialization was extended by today’s crucial sphere – chemical engineering and crude oil and natural gas treatment. Along with this, the services portfolio was moreover extended by complex delivery and construction of investment plants.  Kovoprojekta Brno a.s. is furthermore engaged in spheres of power engineering equipment, infrastructure and civil and residential structures. Already in the past our company participated in many significant projects with international cooperation, e.g. within the territories of India, Korea, Costa Rica, Poland, Russia, Nigeria and other countries.

Today

For each sphere of its technical activities has Kovoprojekta Brno a.s. available its own authorized engineers and architects, both for the Czech and Slovak Republics.

Professional success in recent years was supported through establishing our company branch office in Slovakia (2004), Serbia (2010), and a subsidiary company in Ukraine (2006).

Our company is capable to prepare technical documentation in compliance with inland and foreign standards in common use, such as ČSN, EN, ISO, STN, DIN, ASME, API, GOST and other ones.

In view of exacting design activities, the workplaces of Kovoprojekta Brno a.s. are provided with advanced computer stations with professional software for 3D modelling AutoCAD Revit, CADKON, PDMS, AUTODESK VIZ and further various special software.
